FRP Wrapping
Overview
Structures under seismic or heavy load stress often require additional strength. FRP Wrapping involves externally bonding fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) fabrics to structural elements, significantly improving their load-carrying capacity.

Key Features
- High Strength-to-Weight Ratio – Adds strength without increasing dead load.
- Corrosion Resistant – Ideal for marine or humid environments.
- Multi-Directional Fabrics – Effective for flexural, shear, and confinement applications.
- Non-Invasive – Minimal disruption to existing structure.
Applications
- Seismic retrofitting of columns and beams
- Strengthening of bridges, jetties, and industrial structures
- Heritage building rehabilitation
- Material: Carbon / Glass fibre fabrics
- Tensile Strength: Up to 3000 MPa
- Thickness: 0.2–0.5 mm (per layer)
